The ReWrite™ Faith & Fellowship at ORU

The ReWrite™ Faith & Fellowship at ORU

Lunch, Prayer, Reflection, and Connection

For Men and Women

I am excited to welcome The ReWrite™ community to my alma mater, Oral Roberts University, for a meaningful afternoon of faith, fellowship, and connection.

We will begin by sharing lunch together at ORU’s new Daystar Dining Hall, giving us time to relax, enjoy a meal, laugh, talk, and continue building genuine relationships with others who understand the journey of learning to live again after the loss of a spouse.

Following lunch, we will visit the ORU Prayer Tower for a special time of prayer and reflection. Together, we will make space to thank God for His faithfulness, seek His direction for the road ahead, and be reminded that even when life changes, His presence and purpose remain.

Before our afternoon ends, we will gather at ORU’s iconic Praying Hands for a ReWrite™ group photo and another memory made together.

At The ReWrite™, we believe rebuilding life includes more than navigating grief. It also means reconnecting with God, building meaningful friendships, experiencing new things, and allowing ourselves to create moments of joy, faith, and hope along the way.

Come for lunch. Come for prayer. Come for fellowship. Come ready to make a new memory.

Hosted by Dr. Charis M. Rooks, Founder and Executive Director of The ReWrite™, and Pastor Paul E. Collins, Director of Pastoral Care.
