The Harbor
by Anchor & Grace Co.
A Grief & Grace Community for Widows and Widowers
Launching July 8th, 2026
Welcome. Your interest in joining The Harbor truly touches my heart.
Grief can make the world feel like it keeps moving while you're just trying to figure out how to breathe again.
MY JOURNEY, OUR COMMUNITY
After losing my husband one year after losing my mother, I wasn't only looking for comfort, I was looking for help learning how to live again. Through my own journey and leading grief support groups, I realized how few spaces truly exist that honor grief's weight while making room for grace, hope, and healing.
That's why Anchor & Grace Co. brings together:
1:1 Grief Support Coaching (Companioning + Coaching)
Grief circles for connection and shared experience
Retreats and workshops for deeper healing
Travel, service, and community gatherings to rebuild alongside one another
Resources for your ongoing journey
A PLACE WHERE YOU BELONG
Here, you don't have to rush your healing, explain your tears, or "be strong" for anyone else. We honor the real journey, the lament, questions, memories, and the full roller coaster of emotions.
Your grief isn't a problem to fix; it's love learning how to breathe in a new reality. We welcome the tears, anger, quiet days, and moments of strength. And in all of it, we hold this truth: God is not intimidated by your heartbreak. He is close, compassionate, and steady enough to meet you right where you are.
Healing doesn't mean erasing what you've lost. You don't have to "get over" your person to grow, laugh again, or find purpose. Hope in this community reminds you that God gives what you need for today, grace for the next step, while your love and their memory remain honored.
Dr. Charis M. Rooks
Founder of Anchor & Grace Co.
Director of Grief Support
Grief Support Coach, Group Facilitator, & Bereavement Companion
Whether you're learning how to live again after loss, searching for hope in the middle of heartbreak, asking God why, or simply needing a safe community that understands, you are welcome here. Your story isn't over, and you don't have to walk this road alone.
If you feel called to share your testimony, ask questions, offer suggestions, or connect with our community, I invite you to submit an inquiry on our contact page and select "Anchor & Grace Co." as your topic. Your voice is welcome here. My prayer is that Anchored In Grace will be shaped by the experiences and needs of all its members, not just my own.
Thank you for considering being part of this community. I look forward to walking this journey together.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT OUR CARE
Anchor & Grace Co. provides faith-based grief care, education, and community support. We do not provide licensed mental health counseling or psychotherapy. If clinical support is needed, we encourage and help our participants to seek help from licensed professionals.
