Dr. Charis Rooks Professional Bio

Dr. Charis Rooks has made it her life’s mission to spread the gospel through God’s word and her own testimony. She is deeply committed to uplifting and empowering both current and aspiring Kingdom writers (authored The Kingdom Writer Collection), encouraging them to embrace their literary leadership potential, just as God intended. Dr. Rooks has a special heart for those struggling with life’s challenges that keep them from fulfilling their God-given call to write, and she is especially passionate about serving the widow community and daughters who have lost a parent. Her desire, hope, and prayer is to create a safe space for God’s chosen writers to grow in knowledge and faith, find authentic community, speak freely, gain self-assurance, and pursue God’s will through their writing for the advancement of His Kingdom.

Dr. Rooks is the author of The Kingdom Writer Collection, a published author, a School of Divinity Doctoral Dissertation Supervisor, and Proofreader for scholarly publication at Liberty University, and she also publishes dissertations and capstones into books. She serves as a Graduate Business and Ministry Leadership Professor at Southern Nazarene University. As the founder and CEO of Inspired Grace Ministries and Sapience Atelier Publishing, Dr. Rooks is dedicated to promoting and supporting both existing and emerging writers. Over the past decade, she has worked in various ministry capacities, including outreach pastor, pastoral care member, lay counselor, and ministry leadership coach and trainer.

Drawing from her professional experience as an entrepreneur, founder, editor-in-chief, president, and chief executive officer, Dr. Rooks has developed organizations rooted in biblical principles across media publication, consulting, ministry, and transportation/logistics sectors. Christian entrepreneurship and discipleship are the subjects of her academic research, numerous scholarly writings, and publications.

Dr. Rooks loves spending time with God, her daughters, grandson, fellow Kingdom writers, reading books, playing her flute, writing the Bible by hand, and traveling. By sharing her knowledge, passion, and love for writing, she hopes to inspire Kingdom writers to recognize the power of their gift to expand God’s Kingdom.

What an honor and privilege it is to be a pen in the hand of the Creator.
